Gems from last week

What is one thing you do when you get overwhelmed?

Why It Matters
  • The combination of holidays with pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting brings a lot of joy, and it can also bring a lot of feelings of being overwhelmed.
  • When you are overwhelmed, you might do things that are helpful or not helpful
  • Taking a look at what those things you are doing can help you either double down on your current tools or consider new ones.
Some Examples
Loneliness and Solitude
I try to get space, take extra long showers. I stay up extra late/sleep in so I have the house to myself.
Joy and Happiness
I binge-watch shows, play video games.
Friendship and Connection
I call my BFF and leave the house. I go for long drives with the baby in the car seat.
