What Moms Really Want for Mother's Day

The Soulside Team

This Mother's day, we decided to go straight to the source and ask moms what they truly desire. We received a variety of heartfelt and honest answers. Let's explore what moms really want this Mother's day.

  1. To be with their children : As one mom shared, "Being with my children and spending time together is what makes me feel special." Mother’s day or not, ask any mom what they love to do. It’d definitely be spending quality time with their family. No doubt the bond between a mother and her child is irreplaceable, and quality time only makes the connection stronger.

  1. Handwritten notes and cards : When was the last time a mom received a handmade card that didn’t put a smile on her face? A heartfelt note or card expressing your love and appreciation for a mom's impact on your life can mean the world to her. A small thankyou that shows your gratitude is enough to make her feel special.

  1. A special meal (which she didn’t have to cook) : While going out for lunch or dinner is always an option, cooking a meal for your mom adds an extra touch of love. It's an amazing way to show your appreciation for the hardwork and effort she puts in every day. And of course, it’s a great way to create some chore memories.

  1. Pampering and self-care : We often hear moms saying how they don't have time for selfcare. So a day filled with self-care, such as a massage, facial, or manicure, allows them to let the stress out and relax.

  1. A day of peace and calm : Promise your mom a day free from stress, arguments, and noise. Make your home a no-shout and no-yelling zone.

  1. A duty-free day : Allow your mom to enjoy a day without lifting a finger. Taking on her daily tasks shows that you not only appreciate her but also understand the effort she puts in year-round.

Remember, you're not alone on your motherhood journey. If you need additional support, Soulside is here for you.
